However, do you remember the child actor who played the character of young Shah Rukh Khan in the movie?

While movie lovers might be aware of the Oscar nomination, it is lesser known that Aditya worked at a tea stall for Rs 100 per day during the shooting of The White Tiger. However, he took up the odd job and worked at the tea stall to prepare for his character.

Earlier, while speaking to Vogue, Adarsh revealed that once he visited a village named Chalkari Basti in Jharkhand to get comfortable with that setting. Moreover, he wished to observe the world he didn’t see on usual days. After that, he took up the odd job at a tea stall in Delhi's Saket, disguising himself in his character.

In another interview with Mail Today, Adarsh shared, “I would dress as Balram and keep my hair and beard very unkempt. I didn't take a bath for weeks. I would earn Rs 100 per day for cleaning plates and serving people. I absolutely hated that experience."

Furthermore, he said that one day when he was walking back to his hotel from the tea stall, a man asked him to lift his bags and gave him Rs 20. Well, all these experiences helped him to polish his character and define his career.

Apart from the Oscar nomination, he also bagged several awards in the 'Best Actor in a Leading Role' category.

Adarsh has also starred in Guns & Gulaabs, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, Woh Bhi Din The and Hostel Daze. He will be next seen in Superboys of Malegaon, helmed by Reema Kagti. 

Of course, though it sounds unreal that a boy from Jharkhand's Jamshedpur was able to get his movie nominated at the Academy Awards, Adarsh turned it real with his efforts and dedication.
