But what attracted more attention was her screen name which appeared as she took the stage to deliver her address as the key speaker at the event.

The screen showed the name Aishwarya Rai sans the Bachchan surname which raised many eyebrows. Incidentally, on Instagram, the PS1 actress continues to go by aishwaryaraibachchan_arb. But the Bachchan name not being a part of her introduction on the screen triggered speculations that it indicates that Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan have separated.

Ever since she tied the knot with Junior Bachchan in 2007, she has been called Aishwarya Rai Bachchan . The Bollywood superstar has always held her Bachchan identity with pride. All through her marriage, she has been addressed publicly as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. However, a big hint was dropped just a month ago, when she won the best actress award for her portrayal of Nandini in PSII at the SIIMA Awards in Dubai.

Kabir Khan, the famous Bollywood director known for giving some big hits like Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijan was called upon to announce Aishwarya’s name for the award. And for the first time in years, it was Kabir Khan who mentioned her as Aishwarya Rai with no mention of Bachchan's surname. The name of the winner is clearly written on the note so that the celebrity guest do not make any mistake. Many fans believe that Kabir did not add Bachchan to Ash’s name because it was not mentioned in that way.

At that time the exclusion of Bachchan's surname went unnoticed.

But now that she has been mentioned similarly at the recently held Dubai event, many are taking it as a big hint suggesting separation between Abhishek and Aishwarya. What’s more surprising was the absence of Aaradhya Bachchan at the Global Women’s Forum and for the first time in years Ash was seen traveling alone without her daughter.
