Be it the people inside the Bigg Boss House or outside, Abdu Rozik has made a special place in everyone’s heart. Born on September 2, 2003, to a family of gardeners in the Panjakent district of Tajikistan, Rozik shot to fame thanks to his unique talent of singing Tajik rap songs.

Though already well-known back home, Rozik’s popularity has reached new heights since he joined the others in the house. But it wasn’t always a cakewalk for the 19-year-old singer.

As a child, he was detected with Rickets - a growth deficiency hormone and couldn’t get proper treatment as the family wasn’t financially sound. His physical growth was stunted as a result. But this didn’t stop Rozik from achieving his dreams.

He started his singing career when he was still six, and has sung scores of hit Tajik songs since. The famous ones include, ‘Ohi Dili Zor’ (2019), ‘Chaki Chaki Boron’ (2020) and ‘Modar’ (2021).

The first person to recognise Rozik’s talent was a Tajik blogger and rapper called Baron (Behruz). It was he who convinced Rozik’s father to permit him to make his career in singing after which the young Rozik shifted with his mentor to Dubai.

It was in 2021 that Rozik’s rendition of ‘Enna Sona’ - originally sung by Arijit Singh, went viral on Youtube. The popularity of this song got Rozik an invitation to attend IIFA 2022 held in Abu Dhabi. He won a lot of hearts then by singing, ‘Ek ladki ko dekha to aisa laga’ and ‘Papa kehte hain.’

Composer A.R. Rahman too invited Rozik, to his daughter’s wedding reception earlier this year. At the wedding, he stole the hearts of people by playing the piano and had an impromptu jam session.

Currently, he is spreading his positive vibes in the house of Bigg Boss 16, and we are sure that more accolades are on their way for this young talent.
