Nitesh Kumar Sahoo

It's been over a year that movie lovers had seen Aamir Khan on the big screen. Following the commercial under-performance of Laal Singh Chaddha, Khan felt guilty and he trolled himself for the failure. Now, after a long break, it seems, Khan is 'emotionally ready' and is all set to make a comeback on the floors.

As per the latest updates, Khan is all set to start shooting for his upcoming movies, 'Sitaare Zameen Par' and 'Lahore 1947', this year.  As per a report in Pinkvilla, the movie 'Sitaare Zameen Par' will be directed by R.S. Prasanna and has been tentatively titled as such. Reportedly, the movie will also feature actress Genelia Deshmukh in a leading role.

As per the sources, Khan will begin shooting for 'Sitaare Zameen Par' on February 2. The Dangal actor has been in the prep mode for the movie over the last few months and has finally zeroed down on his look for the film. He has reportedly done several reading sessions with the ensemble cast and has allotted 70 to 80 working days on the film.

On the other hand, 'Lahore 1947,' produced under Khan's production banner, is all in all a period drama set in the pre-partition era. Khan, who has delivered several blockbuster hits in the past, has announced his collaboration with Sunny Deol in this movie. This movie will reportedly feature actress Taapsee Pannu opposite Deol. Meanwhile, reports of Khan’s guest appearance are doing rounds. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the film is set to go on floors on February 12, 2024.

Khan, who is dubbed as “Mr. Perfectionist” for his exceptional acting skills and film choices, has had one of the longest-standing careers in Bollywood.

Aamir Khan was last seen in ‘Laal Singh Chadda’ in 2022, a remake film of the Hollywood classic ‘Forest Gump’. The film however failed to impress the audience and critics. As per reports, the film emerged as Khan’s biggest flop in over a decade, after which he had expressed that he was not “emotionally ready” to work at that time. He announced taking a break and spending some quality time with his family. Undoubtedly, fans must be eagerly waiting for his new releases and excited to see him back on the big screen this year.
