5 most awaited Bollywood movies this summer as per IMDb

Many big banner movies with superstars in the lead will hit the theatres this summer. Most of these movies have been making news ever since they were announced and as expected fans are eagerly following and waiting for every teaser and announcement related to them.

Jawan

Directed by South Indian director Atlee, the movie will mark the debut of Southern superstar Nayanthara in Bollywood. It will release on June 2 this year and if becomes a big hit will consolidate the superstardom of Shah Rukh Khan which has once again bounced back after Pathaan.

Adipurush

Helmed by Tanhaji’s famed director Om Raut, it is a big-budget movie based on the Hindu mythological epic Ramayana. Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan will portray the characters of Lord Rama, Sita, and Ravana. The quality of VFX in the teaser was badly slammed when released last year. Now the latest updates show a lot of improvement. The movie’s success is highly crucial for the Baahubali actor whose last few releases tanked badly.

Adipurush will hit the theatres on 16th June.

Maidaan

Ajay Devgn is currently the in-form actor whose Drishyam 2 was a big hit. His directorial venture Bholaa also did very well at the box office. In Maidaan, he will be seen in the role of a football coach which will be quite a different role from those he has portrayed to date. Maidaan will release on 23rd June.

Yodha

Directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha, Yodha will see Sidharth Malhotra once again as an action hero. The movie is produced by Dharma Productions and will release on 7th July.

Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani

Karan Johar returns as director after a long gap with this movie that stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead. The movie is a romantic drama and stars some veteran famous actors like Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan.

For Ranveer Singh, it is a do-or-die situation as his last 3 big banner films flopped. Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani will release on 28th July.
