Jacqueline Fernandez’s alleged relationship with conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar has once again brought back into the limelight the controversial relationships between Bollywood actresses and criminals.

Many of these actresses even crossed paths with smugglers and used their strong, infamous connections to move ahead in their careers.

Mamta Kulkarni and Vicky Goswami

Mamta came from a non-filmi background but still attracted some very good projects from A-listed production houses. She was the lead opposite Salman Khan in Rakesh Roshan-helmed Karan Arjun and Aashutosh Gowarikar’s Baazi opposite Aamir Khan. From her debut movie Tirangaa to Sabse Bada Khiladi with Akshay Kumar, Mamta had all the right things going for her. But her linkup with underworld man Vicky Goswami ruined her career.

Like Mamta, Monica too worked with some big Bollywood stars like Govinda, Suniel Shetty, and Salman Khan. However, she was ousted from the film industry after her linkup with underworld don Abu Salem became news.

Reportedly, Monica was the second-wife of Abu Salem, and the two separated after getting arrested.

Mandakini and Dawood Ibrahim

Mandakini got her dream debut in Bollywood with Raj Kapoor giving her a break as the female lead in Ram Teri Ganga Maili. The movie did a very good business and helped Mandakini get some very good films.

 

However, her career came to an end after she allegedly got involved with the infamous underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.

Anita Ayoob and Dawood Ibrahim

The Pakistani star who also acted in a few Bollywood movies was linked with Dawood Ibrahim. Reportedly, Dawood’s aid even shot Bollywood producer Javed Siddique because he refused to give Anita a role in his movie.

Sona Mastan and Haji Mastan

Sona was an actress in Bollywood who worked during the 70s and 80s. Even though she was not very popular her resemblance to Madhubala made underworld don Haji Mastan fall in love with her.

She married Mastan and their love story became the plot for a hit Bollywood movie Once Upon a Time in Mumbai starring Ajay Devgn and Kangana Ranaut in the lead.
