3 Idiots sequel on cards! Check the latest updates by Vidhu Vinod Chopra

2009's 3 Idiots, starring Aamir Khan, R Madhavan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sharman Joshi, Boman Irani and Omi Vaidya remains an all-time blockbuster to date. Apart from tickling the funny bones of the audience,  the movie loosely based on Chetan Bhagat's novel 'Five Point Someone' delivered a deep message on education, career and friendship. Well, now filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra has dropped a big hint about working on 3 Idiot's sequel.

The revelations by filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani about Munna Bhai 3, the third instalment of the Munna Bhai franchise, streamed excitement among all. Now, VVC has confirmed that he is busy with the script for Munna Bhai 3. During an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, Chopra revealed about writing stories for Munna Bhai 3, 2 Idiots and a film on children.

Chopra said, "I am also writing a horror comedy and it will be very funny. But right now we will write it for 1-2 years and then make it. And I think '2 Idiots' and 'Munna Bhai 3' will be released soon."

Furthermore, Chopra also talked about why he takes so much time to decide on the final scripts for his movies. The 12th Fail helmer said that he could have made 2-3 sequels for both these movies helmed by Hirani and earned a lot of money. He also added that he could've bought a new car and a house.

But if they were not good, then I would not have been able to answer myself. Because I could not compromise just for money," said the filmmaker.

Well, now that Chopra has confirmed that a sequel to 3 Idiots is on the cards and a script is being written for 2 Idiots, fans certainly wonder if Aamir Khan will return to the franchise with his 'Idiot' gang or if the sequel will be lead by someone else.

Fans need to wait until Chopra is done with the script and makes an official announcement about the same.
