2025 most anticipated Indian movie: Not Yash's Toxic, Hrithik and Jr NTR's War 2 or Prabhas' The Raja Saab

After 2023, some of the biggest blockbuster Indian movies released in 2024 including Stree 2, Kalki 2898 AD, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Pushpa 2: The Rule and many more, that crossed Rs 1000 crore. Now, moviegoers are eagerly waiting for the films scheduled to release in 2025. Several highly-anticipated movies are scheduled for back-to-back release. However, do you know which is the most anticipated Indian film of 2025?

No, it is not Rocking Star Yash's Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grownups or Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR's War 2. Even if it is not Prabhas' The Raja Saab, Rishab Shetty's Kantara: Chapter 1,  Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava, Rajinikanth's Coolie or Sunny Deol's Lahore 1947.

Recently, IMDb (Internet Movie Database) released its list of the 20 most anticipated Indian films of 2025. Well, expectedly, Salman Khan's Sikandar, also starring Rashmika Mandanna, tops the list of most anticipated Indian movies.

Helmed by AR Murugadoss, fans have already got a glimpse of Sikandar and Salman's action avatar. The movie also stars Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sharman Joshi. The movie is reportedly made at a whopping budget of Rs 400 crore. The action entertainer is slated to release in March. This highly-anticipated movie marks the return of Murugadoss to the Hindi Film Industry after 17 years.

Notably, Sikandar's lead actress Rashmika Mandanna recently suffered an injury. Though she has completed a major portion of the movie, her injury might affect the release date.

Well, Sikandar has beat several big-budget movies from Bollywood and down South, starring biggies from the respective industries.

After KGF: Chapter 2, Yash's Toxic will mark his comeback to the silver screen. Thus, fans are eagerly waiting for the movie. Yash's Toxic has secured the 2nd rank in the list, followed by Rajinikanth's Coolie, helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Akshay Kumar-led comedy flick Housefull, having an ensemble cast is in the 4th rank and Tiger Shroff's Baaghi 4 is in the 5th spot of the list.

Other films in the list include Prabhas' The Raja Saab (6th), Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR's War 2 (7th), Mohanlal's Lucifer sequel, L 2: Empuraan (8th), Shahid Kapoor's Deva (9th) and Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava (10th).
