Over the last few days, award-winning filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri's directorial venture ‘The Kashmir Files’ has become a sensation not only in India but in other parts of the world as well.

The Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty starrer movie is a visionary tale that tells about the untold sufferings of Kashmiri pandits during the Kashmir Insurgency in 90s.

Kashmir Files continues its dream run in the box office having already collected more than Rs 60 crore in just five days to beat many star-studded movies currently running. The initial acclamation of the movie has not only spurred a nationwide fervour of solidarity but also moved the governments to outpour support towards the film like never before seen in the country.

From celebrities to politicians and the common man, the film has captivated one and all with its sentiment. A special screening of the film was also organised in Delhi on Tuesday which was attended by many distinguished personalities, BJP leaders, and officer bearers including the party's national Vice-President Baijayant Panda.

The special show of ‘The Kashmir Files’ was held at the Film Division Auditorium situated on Mahadev Road. During the occasion, Panda addressed the gathering of spectators on some untold aspects of the story behind the making of the movie.

BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla lauded the efforts of Jay Panda for organizing the special screening of the film.

"Kashmir Files has helped expose the bitter truth that had been suppressed from everyone's sight for the last 32 years. So far, no one had dared to showcase the reality of the grave injustice dealt to our countrymen. In the last two decades or so, some films which pictured the story on Kashmir had often shown a different angle. I urge all to watch the movie and realize its powerful message," Panda told the media after the screening of the film.
