Kai Po Che and Kedarnath fame director Abhishek Kapoor, who worked with Sushant Singh Rajput in both films, recently revealed how the late actor was disturbed and was drifting away. He also opened up about his legal battle with Sara Ali Khan who made her big Bollywood debut with his movie ‘Kedarnath’.

The filmmaker said he and Sara were fighting a legal battle in the court and also filming Kedarnath, simultaneously. The legal battle was due to the shooting schedule of Sara who was also working with Rohit Shetty’s ‘Simmba’ opposite Ranveer Singh.

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Abhishek Kapoor said, “Those days, my dates (from her) were given to somebody else by some overenthusiastic management that was running her. It was just unacceptable to us. I had to finish my film, I could not afford to let go of the dates because I had a big set standing.”

“To get my dates back, we had to go to court. While we were fighting in court during the day, Sara and I were shooting important scenes the same evening in a temple,” he added.

In the Interview, Kapoor also talked about Sushant’s dedication and how he would shoot in freezing conditions and was a bit disturbed.

“He was a very strong guy mentally and physically he could take on anything. He was a great guy. I think he was finding himself to be very isolated and quite helpless. He was drifting away,” Kapoor stated.

He further added that the reactions demanding justice for Sushant were required and said, “It just needed to be addressed and I’m glad it got addressed; just the prevailing scenario and the unabashed manipulation that was going on in the industry through so many forces.”
