Amid the raging divorce rumours with Samantha Akkineni, actor Naga Chaitanya has finally opened up on the issue and expressed how it has affected him.
Over the past few weeks, rumours had been rife that the couple's marriage has hit a rough patch with many reports of the couple going through divorce proceedings, marriage counselling being making rounds.
Even though Sam and Chay have not confirmed the rumours, their silence on the topic has raised eyebrows. However, Chaitanya has finally spoken on the rumours and how the minute-by-minute coverage of his life has affected him.
In an interview with Film Companion South, Chaitanya was asked how he manages to remain focussed on work even at a time like this. He replied that from an early stage in his career, he has always kept his personal life separate from his professional life. He said that he has learned to keep a perfect balance between his personal and professional life from his parents.
"I sort of kept my personal life personal and my professional life professional. I never mixed the both. I've always had this habit that I learned from my parents as I was growing up, I always noticed once they came home, they never spoke about work. And when they went to work, their personal life was never diluting into work," said Chay.
Chaitanya also revealed that initially he was affected by the minute-by-minute coverage of his life. But now he has made peace with it after understanding how it works.
“Initially, yes, it was a little painful. I was like ‘why is entertainment heading this way?’ But after that, what I've learned is that in today's age, news replaces news," said Chay.
On the work front, Naga Chaitanya will be next seen in Love Story opposite Sai Pallavi which will hit screens soon. He will also be seen in Laal Singh Chaddha alongside Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
