Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’ has been receiving widespread appreciation from all quarters and is going to be one of the highest grosser of this year. Apart from the performance of the cast, the movie is getting a lot of love for its direction, screenplay, and story.

While a section of moviegoers and critics are heaping praises on the movie, some fans did not like the movie for some misogynist scenes. Meanwhile, Bobby Deol’s elder brother and actor Sunny Deol has also made some shocking statements regarding the film.

Speaking about the film, Sunny said that he is very happy for all the love his younger brother Bobby Deol is receiving for his performance adding that he did not like certain things in the movie.

Speaking to PTI, Sunny said, “I’m so happy, I’m very happy for Bobby. I’ve seen Animal, I liked it, it is nice. There are certain things that I did not like, which I don’t like in many films including my own. But that’s as a person. I have the right to like or not like, but in totality, it is a nice film.”

“The music is very good and that goes hand in glove with the sequences. Bobby is Bobby, he is always Bobby, but now he is Lord Bobby,” Sunny added.

However, the Gadar 2 actor did not mention the things he didn’t like about the movie which is drawing criticism for extreme violence, misogynistic, and treatment of female characters. Asked if he would ever play a villain character like his brother Bobby, Sunny said it might contradict his on-screen persona of playing heroic figures in Ghayal, Border, Hero, and Gadar.

“I don’t know if anybody would want me to play the villain. Moreover, the kind of image I’ve created over the years, it is going against, but I don’t think it will be accepted,” he added.
