The University Grants Commission (UGC) has invited applications from students of various universities and colleges to participate in a programme organised by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Information & Broadcasting as a part of the ongoing Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

The programme is being organised to select ‘75 Young Creative Minds’ under various categories of filmmaking like Direction, Editing, Cinematography, Sound Recording, Acting, Playback Singing, Production Design and Scriptwriting.

In a letter, UGC has asked the Vice-Chancellors of all Universities and Principals of all colleges to encourage young and creative budding talents in their respective institutions to participate in the programme.

The International Film Festival of India has sought applications from young filmmakers across the country, out of whom 75 creative minds will be selected by a committee comprising eminent film personalities.

The top-75 will then have the privilege to attend the 52nd International Film Festival scheduled to be held next month in Goa.

The form is available on the websites: www.dff.gov.in and www.iffigoa.org

The Selection Committee shall comprise eminent film personalities as jury members. The Committee will shortlist 150 applicants from all the entries received and then select the finest '75 creative Minds of Tomorrow'.

“The last date for submission of application is October 25, 2021. The selected applicants will get an opportunity to participate in all the major activities of the 52nd International Film Festival of India (lFFl), including the valuable masterclasses/in-conversation sessions scheduled from 20th to 28th November 2021 in Goa,” the UGC circular read.
