UGC-NET 2025 results announced
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the results of the UGC-NET June 2025 examination today. Conducted in computer-based mode across 285 cities and 85 subjects, the exam witnessed an attendance of nearly 7.5 lakh candidates out of over 10 lakh registrations.
The UGC-NET determines eligibility for Assistant Professor, Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), and PhD admissions in Indian universities and colleges.
Out of 10,19,751 registered candidates, 7,51,907 appeared for the test, marking an overall attendance of around 74%. The gender-wise breakdown shows 5,90,897 females and 4,28,653 males registered, with 4,46,689 females, 3,05,182 males, and 36 candidates from the third gender taking the exam across 10 shifts held between June 25 and June 29, 2025.
As per NTA data:
5,289 candidates qualified for both JRF and Assistant Professor positions.
54,885 candidates qualified for Assistant Professor roles alone.
1,28,179 candidates qualified for PhD admission only.
The evaluation included a challenge window for provisional answer keys from July 6 to July 8, with objections reviewed by subject experts before final results were released.
