As the schools for class I to VII is all set to reopen after a long gap of two years, the State government has taken steps to ensure their emotional well being by creating a stress free, enjoyable learning environment in schools.

Keeping in view the same, several activities including rapport building exercise, have been designed to be taken up soon after reopening of the schools.

The rapport building exercise may be conducted for a period of one week. One week fixed time table will be prepared with only activities other than text book.

Open discussion will be held where students will share their good memories during Covid-19 pandemic period, hobby etc. Brain storming sessions like word puzzle game, fruits name, animals name etc., along with story telling, painting, clay modeling and collage work among others will also be taken up.

Baseline assessment of the children will also be done in Language, Math and English apart from identification of learning status as well as learning loss of each child.

"Different strategies may be developed by the teacher in consultation with CRCC & DIET faculty. The main role of the CRCC is to analyse the baseline assessment result of his/her cluster and develop a holistic strategy in consultation with the DIET faculty attached under DIET & CRCC linkage to ensure learning progress of each child," read an official release.

Besides, as per the release, a large scale campaign will be organized at village level to ensure 100% attendance in school on the reopening day of the school by involving SMC and CRCC.
