Professor Bidhu Bhusan Mishra appointed VC of Sambalpur University

Governor and Chancellor of Universities in Odisha, Professor Ganeshi Lal appointed Professor Bidhu Bhusan Mishra as the Vice Chancellor of Sambalpur University for a period of four years.

The appointment will be in effect from the date he assumes office as such or until further orders whichever is earlier, stated an official statement of the Governor’s office.  

An alumni of IIM-Ahmedabad, Mishra retired as a Professor of Department of Business Administration from Utkal University on April 30, 2022. He served as a lecturer of Business Administration of Berhampur University before joining Utkal University. 

He has authored as many as nine books. He has contributed a total of 122 articles to reputed journals. Mishra has more than 34 years of teaching experience. He has successfully guided one DLitt, 39 PhD and three  Mphil scholars.

Earlier, Sanjiv Mittal, who got embroiled in a series of controversies, had resigned as Vice-Chancellor of Sambalpur University and his resignation was accepted.
