Odisha releases phase-II UG, PG admission schedule for 2025-26 academic session

The Odisha Higher Education Department has released the schedule for the second phase of admissions into undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programmes for the 2025-26 academic session.

As per the notification, the application process for UG courses in degree colleges and PG programmes in state universities and higher education institutions began on August 23, with the online Common Application Form (CAF) available for fresh choices on the SAMS portal (www.samsodisha.gov.in).

The students can submit fresh choices for colleges and courses until September 3, the official notification read.

The first selection list, along with the provisional allotment of seats and waiting list, will be published on September 10. Candidates allotted seats will have to complete the admission formalities at their respective institutions between September 11 and 13.

For those placed on the waiting list, reporting at the concerned colleges and universities is scheduled for September 15 and 16. 

Institutions will publish the merit list for waitlisted students on September 17, while final admissions for these candidates, depending on seat availability, will be carried out between September 18 and 22.

The department has urged students to regularly check the SAMS portal and institutional websites for updates.
