The students can take admission through on-line mode. They can visit SAMS portal (https://samsodisha.gov.in) and download the application form.

The government will soon release a notification mentioning details regarding the admission.

Students have been advised to refrain from doing any deal with any private agency or agent and give them documents for admission.

The admission will be carried out with full compliance to Covid-19 guidelines.

According to sources, no admission will be allowed at any schools located under containment zones. The same can be conducted after the area is declared containment free zone.

The Odisha government had recently started process for increasing seats in Plus 2 colleges in order to ensure that students who have passed the Class 10 examinations would not face any difficulties regarding seats.

The State School and Mass Education Department had invited online application from Higher Secondary Schools that are desirous to increase seats in their respective institutions.

The move came after recently-passed Class 10 students in the State expressed apprehension of scarcity of seats in Plus 2 colleges citing high pass percentage in the annual high school certificate examinations (HSC).

The admission process usually begins following the results of class 10 examination, which were declared by the Board of secondary Education (BSE) last month.
According to the BSE, as many as 5,74, 125 regular students from 8934 schools across the State had filled the form and a total of 5,62,010 students have passed, with 97.89 per cent result.
