While the admission to Plus ll streams in the first phase is all set to begin from August 19, the admission timeline is likely to get extended owing to the prevailing flood situation in the State. 

Keeping the flood situation in view, permission has been sought from the Odisha government to extend the admission period, informed the Director of Higher Secondary Education, Raghuram R Iyer.

Meanwhile, the list of the first phase of the cut-off percentage marks for admissions into Arts, Science and Commerce streams of Plus II has been released. While Ravenshaw Higher Secondary School tops the list in Science and Commerce streams, Kandakhai Higher Secondary School at Krushnaprasad in Puri is at the top in Arts stream.
  
In the Science stream, for students belonging to the general category, Ravenshaw Higher Secondary School has posted the highest 94.33 percentage while Nilakantha Nagar Saraswati Sishu Mandir in Berhampur and BJB Higher Secondary School in Bhubaneswar are in the second and the third positions with 93.20 and 93 cut-off percentage respectively. 

Similarly, in Commerce Stream, Ravenshaw Higher Secondary School, Government Higher Secondary School in Rourkela and BJB Higher Secondary School are in the first, second and third positions in the list with 84.17, 80.67 and 79.83 cut-off percentage respectively. 

Likewise, in Arts stream, Kandakhai Higher Secondary School in Krushnaprasad of Puri district has come out as the first choice for students with 83.50 percentage, followed by Ravenshaw Higher Secondary School (83.33) and Narasinghpur Higher Secondary School in Sankara of Cuttack (83.17).
