Odisha Matric Supplementary, State Open School Certificate exams commence
The Odisha Matric Supplementary exam, conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), commenced at 9 am on Monday. The exam that started today will continue till July 8, 2023. Students who failed to crack the Matric exam or remained absent due to some reason are appearing for the supplementary examination.
Moreover, the State Open School Certificate (SOSC) examination also started today.
The first sitting for Matric supplementary examination started at 9 am and will continue till 11am. The State Open School Certificate examination will be conducted at the second sitting. The exams are being conducted in at least 80 examination centres across the state.
At least 1,311 students had filled up the forms to appear for Matric supplementary examination while a total of 8,915 students will appear for the SOSC exam.
The BSE had released the admit card for both exams a couple of days back and students appearing for the exam were advised to download their hall tickets from the official site BSE Odisha at bseodisha.ac.in.
Moreover, the BSE has made it mandatory for the students to carry the printout of their admit card and their school ID to the exam centre. In case they fail to carry the same, they may not be allowed to appear in the exams.
Notably, the form fill-up process for Matric supplementary examination was conducted from May 26 – June 1.
Worth mentioning, the annual High School Certificate (HSC) Summative Assessment-II examination 2023 was conducted from March 10 to 20. As many as 5.32 lakh students appeared in 3,218 examination centers across the state. The overall pass percentage this year stood at 96.40% compared to 90.55% last year.
