The evaluation of answer sheets of students who have appeared in the annual high school certificate (HSC) Summative Assessment-II examination will commence from May 21, the board of secondary education (BSE), Odisha said on Friday.

Apart from the Class 10, the checking of answer sheets of Madhyama and State Open School Certificate Examination (SOSC) will also be conducted from the same date, said BSE vice president Nihar Ranjan Mohanty.

A total of 58 evaluation centres have been set up for the evaluation process. The evaluators have been asked to join the centre a day ahead on May 20.

“The preparations for the evaluation of matriculation answer sheets have reached its final stage. On Thursday, we uploaded the appointment letter of examiners for evaluation of HSC Class 9, Summative Assessment-II,” Mohanty said.

He said 481 chief examiners, 900 deputy examiners, 8919 assistant examiners and 930 scrutinisers have been engaged for the evaluation of the answer sheets.

Mohanty further said the board will adopt a new method this year to ensure error-free evaluation.
