Odisha Higher Education Dept Again Extends Scholarship Application Deadline For 2021-22

The Odisha Higher Education Department has announced further extension of the deadline for online application and validation for all categories of ‘e-Medhabruti’ and ‘Vyasakabi Fakir Mohan Bhasabruti’ scholarship for the year 2021-22.  

The last date of online application for students has been extended till April 5, 2022 while the deadline for online validation by heads of institutes/principals concerned has been extended till April 20, 2022. 

This is the second time the higher education department has granted extension to the scholarship application process. Earlier, the last date for the receipt of application was extended to March 5 from February 5.  

Prativa Sahu, Joint Secretary of the Higher Education Department, in a letter to the General Manager (Admin) of OCAC has intimated the extension of deadline for online application by students and online validation by institutes for all categories of scholarships awarded by the department for the year 2021-22. 

The OCAC GM (admin) has been requested to keep the two schemes live in "State Scholarship Portal" up to the new extended dates.

The department stated that online validation by Principal/Head of concerned institutions is mandatory for getting e-Medhabruti and Vyasakabi Fakir Mohan Bhasabruti Fresh Scholarship by the eligible students.

Under e-Medhabruti scholarship, financial assistance is provided to meritorious students pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate, technical and professional courses. 

Similarly, the Vyasakabi Fakir Mohan Bhasabruti scholarship is provided to students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the Odia language.
