Keeping the current flood situation in view, the Odisha government has extended the first phase admission date of Plus 2 students to August 30 from August 25, informed the State School and Mass Education Minister Sameer Ranjan Dash on Saturday.

The first phase admission of Plus 2 students was supposed to be carried out between August 19 and August 25. Now, it has been extended to August 30 from August 25.

The second phase admission, which was supposed to be held between September 5 and September 7, will now be held on September 8 and will continue till September 10. 

Earlier, the State government had decided to hold spot selection on September 15 and September 16. As per the new schedule, spot selection will be held between September 17 and September 20.

Meanwhile, the list of the first phase of the cut-off percentage marks for admissions into Arts, Science and Commerce streams of Plus II has been released. While Ravenshaw Higher Secondary School tops the list in Science and Commerce streams, Kandakhai Higher Secondary School at Krushnaprasad in Puri is at the top in Arts stream.

In the Science stream, for students belonging to the general category, Ravenshaw Higher Secondary School has posted the highest 94.33 percentage while Nilakantha Nagar Saraswati Sishu Mandir in Berhampur and BJB Higher Secondary School in Bhubaneswar are in the second and the third positions with 93.20 and 93 cut-off percentage respectively. 

Similarly, in Commerce Stream, Ravenshaw Higher Secondary School, Government Higher Secondary School in Rourkela and BJB Higher Secondary School are in the first, second and third positions in the list with 84.17, 80.67 and 79.83 cut-off percentage respectively.
