School and Mass Education Minister, Samir Ranjan Dash on Tuesday said that the results of the Plus II Arts stream are likely to be announced by this week.

Dash told reporters that the process for the publication of results by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has reached the final stages.

Though the results were to be announced before July 31 as per the Supreme Court order, the State government had sought more time for the publication of the results of Arts stream beyond the specified deadline.

“Already the process is underway and we hope to publish the Plus II Arts results by this week,” said Dash.

On resumption of Plus II offline classes, the Minister said that University Grants Commission (UGC) has already released a schedule and steps will be taken accordingly in this regard. “However, a final decision will be taken after reviewing the Covid situation in the State,” said Dash.

It is pertinent to mention here that that the CHSE had announced the results of Commerce and Science streams on July 31, 2021, as per the Apex Court order.

A total of 94,532 students including 78, 8 99 regular candidates had enrolled for the Plus II examination in the Science stream this year. Out of them, 89, 951 students cleared the Board examination in Science stream. The total pass percentage in Science stream stood at 95.15 percent.

In the Commerce stream, 24,526 students including 21,996 regular candidates had enrolled to appear in the Plus II examinations in Commerce stream. Of the total students, 23,292 students have passed in the Commerce stream. The total pass percentage this year in Commerce stream was 94.96 per cent.
