The Annual Higher Secondary Examination(Theory), 2022, conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha has commenced today. 

After a gap of two  years, students will appear the examinations in offline mode and there will be one sitting everyday starting from 9 am. 

On the first day, students of Arts and Commence streams will write MIL (Odia) paper. 

As per the schedule, the time slot for entering the examination hall has been fixed from 8 am to 8.30 am. While question papers will be distributed to the examinations 10 minutes before the schedule, answer sheets will be given before five minutes. 

A total of 3,21,508 students in Arts, Science, Commerce and Vocational streams will appear for the examinations at different. 

While 2,13,432 from Arts steam will appear for the examination, 78,077 examinees are from science stream. Likewise, 24,136 from Commerce steam and 5,863 vocational steam students will appear for the examination. 

A total of 1,133 examination centres and 202 management hubs have been set up. Three-tier security arrangements have been made in the examination centres. 

While all the examination centres will be under CCTV surveillance, mobile phone has been banned. All arrangements have been made keeping in view the prevailing heatwave conditions and Covid situation. 

On the other hand, the matriculation examination in the State will commence tomorrow and continue till May 6.
