“It is only after hard work of two-three years that I have been successful. I was not expecting to become topper. There is no shortcut to success and everyone should not shy away from doing hard work,” said Sourav.

According to Sourav, his mother is an Anganwadi worker and she has always supported him whenever he used to get upset for securing less marks in any exam.

“If you have a dream and have done hard work, then anything is possible. But you should face exams without any nervousness. My aim is to crack the NEET and I will be successful. I want to pursue neurosurgery after MBBS,” said Sourav.

Sourav’s mother said, “I am an Anganwadi worker and was unable to give time to my family. My son has always studied under me when he was a child and without tuition.”

Sourav’s mother said her son's feat has certainly made the family proud.
