The National Law University Odisha (NLUO), Cuttack has invited applications for admissions to the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Programme for the academic year 2024-25 in law and interdisciplinary subjects. The total seats in the Ph.D programme is 25 and out of which 12 seats are reserved for the general category applicants.

As per the NLUO notification, the candidate enrolled for full time Ph.D. programme shall put in residence of the University for a minimum period of 28 months spread over three years. Three years is the minimum period required for the completion of the research for the award of the degree.

Such candidates may be paid stipends as decided by the University from time to time. Currently, the University will pay Rs 30,000 per month as stipend with the annual increase of 10% in the stipend amount subject to the condition that no stipend shall be paid to any Ph.D. Scholar after completion of 5 years from the date of their registration.

Selection Process:

The University will conduct a Ph.D. Entrance Examination for the candidates who have applied for the admission in Ph.D. program in NLUO and not having NET/JRF certificates

Submission and Evaluation of a Research Synopsis and oral presentation of the research synopsis.

Last date for receiving online application forms: 12th April, 2024

Entrance Examination (Ph.D. Admission test): 5th May, 2024
