NEET UG paper leak: No systemic breach as leak limited to Patna and Hazaribag, says Supreme Court

The Supreme Court ruled there was no systemic breach in NEET-UG 2024 papers, with leaks limited to Patna and Hazaribagh. The Centre's committee suggested technological advancements for cyber security and enhanced identity checks. The court emphasized rectifying deficiencies identified in the National Testing Agency's processes.

The Supreme Court on Friday ruled that there was no systemic breach of the NEET-UG 2024 papers. Moreover, the leak was only limited to Patna and Hazaribagh.

In its judgement, Supreme Court said the Committee constituted by the Centre also considered framing SOP for technological advancements to identify potential weaknesses in the cyber security of the examination system, processes for enhanced identity checks, CCTV monitoring of exam centres.

In its judgement, Supreme Court highlighted all the deficiencies in the structural processes of the National Testing Agency.

As per ANI, Supreme Court said, "We cannot afford this for the betterment of the students. The issues which have arisen must be rectified by the Centre this year itself so that it is not repeated."
