There was a time when her mother worked as a labourer to pay for her education. After the death of her father, her mother worked hard to run the family. Finally, her mother’s prayers have been heard and now, she has secured All India Rank (AIR) 105th rank in UPSC 2022, the results of which were declared on Tuesday.

Well, we are talking about none other than IPS Divya Tanwar who is all set to become an IAS officer now.

Hailing from rural Nimbi village of Mahendragarh district of Haryana, Divya Tanwar had secured 438th rank in the UPSC Civil Services Exam 2021, according to a report in Hindustan Live.

She was posted as an IPS officer, but it was her dream to become an IAS officer. So, she continued her preparations to get IAS with a better rank. Now, her hard work has finally paid off and she has secured 105th rank in the recently-announced UPSC Civil Services result.

Divya has become a source of inspiration for thousands of UPSC aspirants by cracking Civil Services although she studied in a government Hindi medium school and appeared her exam in Hindi for both her attempts.

Divya has done her schooling from Navodaya Vidyalaya and later completed her B.Sc from Government Women’s College in Mahendragarh. Despite the bad economic condition in the family, Divya’s mother Babita Tanwar worked as labourer and never allowed any hindrance in Divya’s studies.

After finishing her BSc, Divya started preparing for UPSC Civil Services and studied 10 hours a day in a small room of her house. She was determined to crack UPSC for her mother and her hard work paid off.

She cleared the UPSC exam in her first attempt at the age of just 21. She had secured 438th rank and was posted as an IPS officer. However, it was her dream to become an IAS officer. So, she continued her preparations and secured 105th rank in the recently-announced results of the UPSC civil services exam.
