Meet Simran & Srishti, 2 sisters from Delhi who cracked UPSC together to become IAS officers

Like every UPSC aspirant, it was their dream to become IAS officers. However, who had thought that the two sisters would crack India’s toughest exam together? 

These two sisters from New Delhi cracked UPSC together and went on to become IAS officers. Today, we will talk about two sisters – Simran & Srishti – who cracked UPSC together and have set an example for others.

Simran is the elder sister while Srishti is the younger. After completing their degrees in economics and engineering respectively, both Simran and Srishti began their UPSC journey to fulfill their father Neeraj Kumar’s dream, a DNA India report said.

While Simran had been preparing for the last two years, Srishti joined the preparations later. With much dedication and hard work, Simran secured AIR 474 on her third attempt in UPSC 2020. However, much to the surprise of everyone, it was Srishti who cracked UPSC in her first attempt in 2020. 

The two bright minds, daughters of a property worker and a housewife, have proved that hard work is the key to success. Instead of joining some multinational companies for jobs after their graduation, they decided to fulfill their father’s dream and passed the UPSC exam with flying colours.

As per reports, both the sisters would do all the household chores and later go to study in a nearby library. Later, they would lock themselves in a room and study in their little house after returning from the library. This was their daily routine.

Their hard work finally paid off. Simran secured AIR 474 while Srishti cleared it in her first attempt.
