Clearing the UPSC civil services examination in the first attempt is a formidable accomplishment that demands relentless dedication and perseverance. However, Muskan Jindal, who hails from Solan, Himachal Pradesh, not only cleared the UPSC examination in her maiden attempt in 2019 but also clinched an impressive All India Rank of 87, eventually becoming an IFS officer.

As per a DNA report, Muskan's civil services journey began in her childhood, driven by a strong desire to become a civil servant. Excelling academically throughout her schooling and college years, she maintained a focused trajectory toward her goal.

Completing her schooling in Biddi with a remarkable 10 cumulative grade points in the tenth grade and securing 96% in Class 12, Muskan pursued her graduation in B. Com (Hons) from SD College, Chandigarh, where she earned the 5th rank.

Undoubtedly, Muskan's dedication was extended beyond academics. Regular newspaper reading became a habit that intensified during her UPSC preparations. Current affairs were a priority, with online compilations serving as a valuable resource.

Despite the prevalent advice to minimise phone and social media usage during exam preparations, Muskan had a different perspective, emphasising the importance of self-control and using the phone judiciously when necessary.

Muskan underscored the significance of consistency in UPSC exam preparation, emphasising the need for daily motivation to stay committed to studies. She acknowledged the difficulty but stressed its inevitability. Practice was crucial for her when it came to answering papers, and she advocated for balance and honesty during interviews, advising aspiring candidates to remain focused and consistent in their preparation.

In an interview, Muskan shared her study routine, highlighting a combination of online and offline guidance from institutes while prioritizing self-study. She meticulously set and adhered to weekly targets, dedicating 7 to 8 hours to daily study. Her advice to fellow aspirants echoed the themes of focus, consistency, and diligence, emphasizing the importance of unwavering commitment to one's preparation.
