They say ‘Never Ever Give Up’ in life and IAS Vijay Wardhan has proved it rightly so. Even after failing in 35 different exams, he did not give up and finally cracked India’s toughest Civil Services Examination.

The life journey of IAS Vijay Wardhan is as inspirational as it sounds for other UPSC aspirants.

According to a report in DNA India, Vijay Wardhan is a resident of Sirsa, Haryana. He did his schooling in his hometown before moving to Hisar for his B.Tech in Electronics Engineering. Later, he attempted at least 30 different exams including the Haryana PCS, UPPSC, SSC and CGL, but he could not clear even one.

However, his continuous rejection did not demotivate him or deter his determination. So, he made up his mind to shift to Delhi and prepare for UPSC. He gave his first attempt in 2014 but was unable to crack it. He made four consecutive attempts, one after the other but failed every time.

However, his hard work finally paid off in 2018. He managed to crack the UPSC with an All India Rank (AIR) of 104 and became an IPS. However, Wardhan was keen on becoming an IAS officer and was not very fond of IPS.

So, he took the UPSC exam again and became an IAS in 2021. Finally, his dream of becoming an IAS officer was fulfilled and he is proud of himself.

Sharing his valuable tips for aspirants like him, Vijay Wardhan in a recent media interaction said, “You are your own best teacher. One ought to always have faith in their capacity while making decisions. If some process if not working for you, then you need to make changes. You can’t repeat the same process you’re following.”

His life journey teaches us to never lose hope and always keep working hard towards our goals.
