Yes, we are talking about IAS Swati Meena Naik, who was the youngest IAS officer of 2007 batch. Her inspiring journey from a student to the country’s most respected bureaucrat is truly inspiring and remarkable.
A native of Sikar in Rajasthan, IAS Swati was a brilliant student since her school days. After her intermediate, she went to pursue her graduation from Sophie Girls’ College in Ajmer. Swati’s mother always wanted her to become a doctor and study medicine.
But Swati’s call was the IAS. She was in Class VIII when one of her aunts became an officer. Since then, Swati had made up her mind to crack the UPSC and become an IAS officer. After her graduation, she started her preparations and guess what!
The multi-talented girl cracked UPSC in her first attempt and secured an All India Rank (AIR)-260. She holds the record of being the 2007 batch’s youngest IAS officer. Swati credits her father for helping her in her UPSC journey who himself is a RAS (Rajasthan administrative service) officer.
Apart from her, Swati’s younger sister is an IFS (Indian Foreign Service) officer of the 2011 batch, a report in DNA India stated.
IAS Swati is a Madhya Pradesh cadre officer and was recently appointed as the Director of the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation under the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation. She previously held the position of Secretary for the Government of Madhya Pradesh’s Women & Child Development Department.
She is also known for her strict working style.
