Becoming an IPS officer is the dream of thousands of aspirants. However, only a few can fulfill their dreams every year. Here’s one such story of IPS Tenzing Yangki, who went on to become the first female IPS officer of Arunachal Pradesh.

Her sheer dedication to achieving the prestigious position is an inspiration to millions of UPSC aspirants, especially women candidates. Daughter of an IRS and IAS officer, Tenzing always had all the luxury of her life. However, her father’s money, luxury, and easy life could not tempt her from working hard to achieve her dreams.

She worked day and night and was least interested in her father’s wealth. Her father, former minister late Thupten Tempa was an officer of the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) and Indian Administrative Service (IAS), before plunging into politics.

Her father, a civil servant turned politician also stood by his daughter and encouraged her to work diligently on her goals.

Her hard work and determination paid off and she secured an impressive AIR-545 in the prestigious UPSC Civil Services Examination 2022. Before this, Tenzing had previously cleared the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) exam in 2017.

Like her father and grandfather, Tenzing displayed her commitment and dedication to public service from an early stage. Her accomplishments have already garnered much recognition and admiration. Her remarkable achievements serve as an inspiration for young aspirants, encouraging them to aim high and excel in their chosen fields.

Tenzing’s journey highlights the potential and talent of women, further motivating others to follow their dreams and contribute to the nation’s growth and development.
