MA admission begins at IIT Madras, check how to apply

The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) of Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) has published official notification regarding the admission to two-year masters programmes (MA) in the varsity.

Candidates with valid GATE score can apply through the MTech and MA admission portal at mtechadm.iitm.ac.in.

IIT Madras announced its new Master’s Programme across the three streams.

• Development Studies

• Economics

• English Studies

The application process already commenced on March 18 and the last date to submit the application is April 7.

The students are required to complete a minimum of 200 credits to be eligible for the MA degree.

Each stream will have 25 seats for Indian students, and seats for foreign students will be supernumerary.
IIT madras said, “The students of each stream will have the option of upgrading to PhD program as per the Institute guidelines.”

I assure you that these two years will be a transformative experience for you,” Prof. Jyotirmaya Tripathy, Head, Dept. of HSS, said.
