The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 for Engineering (BE/BTech, paper 1) candidates today. On the second day of the JEE Main Session 1, students are taking the exam in two shifts- from 9 AM to 12 PM and from 3 PM to 6 PM.
The JEE Main 2025 session 1 exam is scheduled for January 22, 23, 24, 28, and 29 for paper 1, and January 30 for paper 2 (BArch/BPlanning).
Purpose of JEE Main Exam:
The purpose of the examination is to let students get admission into various technical undergraduate programs in engineering, architecture, and planning across colleges in India.
Admit cards for the first three exam days are available and can be downloaded from the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Candidates will be subjected to various pre-exam procedures, including mandatory frisking. Therefore, it is essential for them to arrive at the exam venue according to the reporting time specified on their admit card. No candidates will be permitted to enter the examination centre premises after the gate closes.
Aspirants should only carry items that are allowed inside the exam hall and should arrange for the safekeeping of their personal belongings.
Permissible items include the admit card (with all pages printed on A4-size paper and preferably in color), a photograph (identical to the one used in the application), a valid original photo ID. Candidates should read the instructions carefully in order to avoid last minute rush and arrange everything in a proper sequence.
The NTA is expected to release the admit cards for the JEE Main 2025 session 1 exams for January 28, 29, and 30 tomorrow, January 24, 2025.
