The National Testing Agency (NTA) has begin inviting online application forms from candidates for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) — 2023 Session 1. 

For the academic session 2023-24, the JEE (Main)—2023 will be conducted in two sessions i.e. Session 1 (January 2023) and Session 2 (April 2023). 

As per the dateline released by the NTA, candidates can submit online application through www.nta.ac.in and www.jeemain.nta.nic.in from December 15, 2022 to January 12, 2023.   

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE (Main) comprises two papers. Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.) is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E/B. Tech) at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), Institutions/Universities funded/recognised by participating State governments. 

It is also an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admission to IITs. Paper 2 is conducted for admission to B. Arch and B. Planning courses in the Country. 

The NTA said JEE (Main) - 2023 will be conducted in 13 languages i.e. English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. 

“In the first session of JEE (Main) - 2023, only Session I will be visible and candidates can opt for that. In the next session, Session 2 will be visible, and the candidates can opt for that Session. The application window for Session 2 will be re-opened as per the details available in the Information Bulletin and will also be notified separately through a Public Notice,” the NTA said.

  • Online Submission of Application Form-15 December 2022 to 12 January 2023 
  • Last date of successful transaction of fee -12 January 2023 (up to 11:50 P.M.) 
  • Announcement of the City of Examination Second week of the January 2023 
  • Downloading of Admit Cards from the NTA website-Third week of the January 2023 
  • Date of Examination 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31 January 2023
