The registration process for the Joint Entrance Exam or JEE Main 2022 is expected to begin soon as the National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to conduct the examination in a few months time. The examination for admission to various engineering colleges is held online in four sessions-- February, March, April and May.

Students and parents are advised to visit the official website of NTA at jeemain.nta.nic.in for registration and other latest updates as the official date for the JEE exam 2022 is yet to be announced by the NTA.

Tentatively, the filling of application for JEE Main 2022 February is likely to begin from December 2021. JEE Main is also the qualifier for the JEE Advanced which will allow students to get admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology or IITs.

It may be noted that this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the JEE Main 2021 was conducted in four sessions-- February, March and then in July and August.

JEE Main 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Students who have completed Class 12 or equivalent in 2020, 2021 or should be appearing in 2022 are eligible to appear the examination.
Besides, the candidates applying for the examination should have the following subjects in the qualifying exam—

BE/BTech: Candidates should have passed the qualifying exam with physics, mathematics, and chemistry/ biology/ biotechnology/ technical vocational subject.

BArch: Candidates should cleared the qualifying exam with mathematics, physics and chemistry.

BPlan: Candidates should have passed the qualifying exam with mathematics.

Qualifying marks: The applicants have to obtain at least 75% marks in Class 12 to be eligible for admission into NITs/IIITs/GFTIs. For admission into BArch/BPlanning courses, Students need to have 50% marks. Last year, the qualifying criterion was relaxed in view of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, there are no updates on any relaxation on percentage for JEE Main 2022 exam.
