Pritish Kumar Lenka, a student from PPL colony in Paradip is now going through a rough patch. He is now worried over his fate owing to the alleged irregularity in the JEE Main results which were announced recently.

Pritish has alleged that his score has been changed to 55.316 whereas, he had scored 99.526 percentile in first attempt. According to Pritish, he was initially awarded a score of 99.526 in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) exam held in the month of June this year.

With a hope of scoring more, Pritish had again appeared for the JEE held in the month of July. However, he got the biggest shock of his life after finding to have got a score of 57.216 instead of the previous 99.526 in the first attempt.

In the July exam, the result of which was announced in August 8, it has been mentioned that Pritish has scored 1.870.

“In the first session held in June, I had scored 99.526 percentile. The second attempt was held between July 25 to 30 and the results were announced on August 8. However, when I checked the results, I was shocked to find that I was awarded a different percentile,” alleged Pritish.

Pritish further said that despite bringing the matter to the notice of the National Testing Agency (NTA), he is yet to receive any communication.

It is pertinent to mention here that NTA had declared the cumulative result of two sessions of JEE-Main on August 8. At least 24 candidates  scored a perfect 100 in engineering entrance JEE-Main while result of five students was withheld for using unfair means,
