The National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the second session of the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main).

The entrance exam session will now be held from July 24 to July 28, a senior official of NTA told The Indian Express. The second session of JEE Main 2022 was earlier scheduled to be held from July 21 to July 30.

As per the NTA official, the postponement decision has been taken to give students adequate time between the end of the first phase of CUET and the commencement the JEE Main exam.

“We need some buffer between two exams for adequate preparation. CUET ends on July 20 and it would have been difficult to start another exam the next day. Hence, JEE (Main) will now start from July 24,” the senior official told The Indian Express.

The NTA declared the session 1 result of JEE Main 2022 on July 11. A total of 14 candidates have cleared the exam with 100 percentile.

The minimum qualifying marks for the NTA JEE Mains result is 75% for general category and 65% for SC/SC/PWD category candidates.

Meanwhile, the admit card for the JEE Main session 2 is expected to be released by the  NTA a couple of days ahead of the commencement of the exam.
