In view of the heavy rains and landslides in Maharashtra, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced to give another opportunity to all the candidates who have examination centres in the cities of Kolhapur, Palghar, Ratnagiri, Raigadh, Sindhudurg, Sangli and Satara and who are not able to reach the Examination Centre for JEE (Main) –2021 Session – 3.

The National Testing Agency is conducting the JEE (Main) – 2021 Session – 3 on 20, 22, 25, and 27July 2021 in 334 cities throughout India and abroad.

At least 76 people died, 38 others injured and 59 are missing after many areas in Maharashtra were hit by floods and landslides triggered by heavy rains.

“The students with examination centres in these cities, who may not be in a position to reach their Examination Centres on 25 and 27 July 2021 for JEE (Main) – 2021 Session – 3, need not panic. They will be given another opportunity, and the dates for the same will be announced soon by the NTA,” an official notification read.

It is pertinent to mention here that the third session of JEE main has been scheduled on July 20, 22, 25, and 27, 2021 .

The NTA has already conducted the Session 3 exams on July 20 and July 22 successfully. As many as 7,09,519 students have registered for the third session of JEE Main.

Earlier, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had also advised DG NTA to grant another opportunity to all candidates who may not be able to reach the test centre for JEE (Main)-2021 Session 3 in light of the heavy rains and landslides in Maharashtra.

“Students from Kolhapur, Palghar, Ratnagiri, Raigadh, Sindhudurg, Sangli, & Satara, who are unable to reach their test centres on 25 & 27 July 2021 for JEE (Main)-2021 Session 3 need not panic. They will be given another opportunity, and the dates will be announced soon by the NTA,” tweeted Pradhan.
