The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has once again extended the admission and re-registration deadline for the July 2021 session. The last date for the same is now August 31, 2021.

Earlier, the deadline for the registration for various UG and PG programmes offered by IGNOU in the July 2021 session was August 16.

Meanwhile, fresh applicants are required to create a new registration. Check the instructions to fill application form online:

Go to IGNOU admission portal, ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in

Click on ‘Fresh Admission’ on ‘Register Online’ section

Click on ‘NEW REGISTRATION’ and complete registration

Now, login and fill the application form

Upload all the requisite documents

Pay fee and submit the form

Download the form and take a printout for future use

Registration fee, Cancellation of Admission and Refund of Fee details:

A non-refundable registration fee of Rs 200 is applicable for the same. Candidates can go through details of the courses IGNOU is offering by visiting ‘Programme Information’ on the University’s website. They can also download the Prospectus from the website.

If a student applies for cancellation of admission and refund of fee, the refund request will be considered as per the University policy as under:

Before the last date for submission of admission form- the fee paid will be refunded after deduction of Rs 200

Within 15 days from the last date for submission of admission form- the fee paid will be refunded after deduction of Rs 500

Within 30 days from the last date for submission of admission form- the fee paid will be refunded after deduction of Rs 1,000

After 30 days from the closure of the last date- No refund will be allowed.

NOTE: In a particular admission cycle, facility for fee exemption available to SC/ST students can be claimed for one programme only. If an applicant submits more than one application claiming fee exemption, all the applications are liable to be rejected.
