The registration process for Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) January Admission 2024 is now underway. 

Aspiring candidates can register for online, ODL/Distance courses by visiting the official website of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) at ignou.ac.in. 

The application window will remain open until January 31, 2024.

Application Fee

Upon admission, a non-refundable Registration Fee will be levied in conjunction with the program fee for the first semester/year. In the event of withdrawal before confirmation of admission, the entire program fee paid will be refunded. 

However, once admission is confirmed, a deduction of Rs 500 will be applied within 15 days of confirmation. 

Subsequently, a deduction of Rs 1000 will be made within the period of 16 to 90 days following the confirmation of admission.

The fee can be paid using Credit Cards (Master/Visa), Debit Cards (Master/Visa/Rupay), and Net Banking.

Required Documents

Before initiating the online form filling process, applicants are required to have the following documents in digital format:

  • Scanned Photograph (less than 100 KB)

  • Scanned Signature (less than 100 KB)

  • Scanned copy of relevant Educational Qualification (less than 200 KB)

  • Scanned Copy of Experience Certificate (if any) (less than 200 KB)

  • Scanned Copy of Category Certificate, if SC/ST/OBC (less than 200 KB)

How to Apply

  • Visit the official website of IGNOU at ignou.ac.in

  • Select the IGNOU January Admission 2024 link on the homepage

  • A new page will appear with two links: Online and ODL

  • Choose the relevant link and input the necessary details

  • Complete the application form and proceed to make the payment of the application fees

  • Click on the submit button and download the confirmation page

  • Retain a hard copy of the downloaded page for future reference
