IGNOU extends fee support scheme for these students, check details

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has released an important notice regarding the scheme of fee support to the students belonging to the SC/ST categories seeking fresh admission and re-registration in January 2023 admission cycle.

In its latest notice, the varsity has extended the scheme of fee support to the above mentioned category of students.

Details

-The benefits of the fee waiver scheme have been extended to B.A (General), B.Com (General) for January 2023 admission cycle.

-The income of parents/guardians of fresh applicants from all sources should not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh during the last financial year as per Government of India norms.

-Fresh applicants should submit income certificate issued by the authority as decided by the respective state government.

-SC/ST students availing fee waiver shall be required to pay the non-refundable registration fee of Rs 300 for admission in January 2023 cycle.

-A development fee of Rs 200 will also be charged from SC/ST students who will be availing fee waiver for admission in January 2023 cycle as per the decision of Finance Committee.

For Re-registration SC/ST students who were given exemption/ reimbursement of fee during fresh admission shall be eligible for exemption of fee while re-registration in January 2023 cycle.
