Forget about cracking the Civil Services Exam (CSE), even getting a good rank is one of the most challenging and daunting tasks. Even as thousands of civil servant aspirants prepare for UPSC every year, it is not everyone’s cup of tea to crack the toughest exam.

However, IFS Tamali Saha is among the fortunate few who cracked UPSC on their very first attempt. Yes, you read that right. She was only 23 years old when she cracked UPSC with an impressive AIR-94. Her success story serves as a source of hope and inspiration for aspirants who are waiting to make their first attempt.

Born in the North Pargana district of West Bengal, Tamali has now been appointed as an Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer. Her success journey began in her hometown where she completed her schooling. She then moved to pursue a degree in Zoology at Kolkata University.

Despite her graduation in zoology, she was steadfast in her goal of clearing the UPSC exam. She studied hard day and night and gave her all. Her hard work paid off and she cleared the UPSC exam in her very first attempt with AIR-94.

Her achievements have not only made her family, friends, and community proud but have also inspired other aspirants who dream of becoming a civil servant like her.
