A full-ride scholarship is intended to attract top students who have a lot of choices. It is the school’s way of recognising a student’s merit. To be eligible for these full-ride scholarships, you must have performed better in your grades, extracurricular activities, and/or demonstrated leadership skills than the average student.
● Duke University
Robertson Scholars Leadership Programme: This scholarship covers tuition fees, mandatory fees, room and board for the next four years. In addition to this, you will be able to take advantage of both Duke’s academic and extracurricular offerings. In addition, Robertson scholars, alumni, and staff can take advantage of three summers of domestic or international experiences, customised leadership and professional development opportunities, and a robust community.
● Chicago University
Scholarships and grants are provided by the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation in partnership with many universities. Students who are in their final two years of college are eligible for the Stamps Scholarship, which provides enrichment grants to support experience-based learning opportunities.
● University of Toronto
It is among the top universities in the world and one of those that offers full scholarships to international students. The University of Toronto is Canada's leading academic institution.
● Massachusetts Institute of Technology
It is known to be one of the most prestigious universities in the world. Massachusetts Institute of Technology offers full scholarships, which are based solely on financial need and come from endowments, donations from alumni and friends, and general funding. Over 60 percent of MIT undergraduates receive the MIT Scholarship, one of the best STEM-related universities in the world.
● Yale University
Yale University awards undergraduate scholarships based on need as well as master and doctoral scholarships as fellowships and assistantships. Yale University offers fully funded scholarships, for international students in need, that go over $70,000 a year. The average scholarship is over $50,000 a year.
You should note that only some international students can avail of these full scholarships. There are oftentimes more qualified students than seats available, so you will need to apply to several institutions to increase your chances of landing a fully-funded course of your choice.
