Aspirants from different backgrounds and financial statuses are making India proud with their positions as IAS, IPS, and IFS officers. Many IIT and IIM passouts are doing wonders in the world of civil servants.

On the other hand, there are aspirants from humble backgrounds who could not even afford a square meal but have become IAS and IPS officers with their hard work. It is the rags-to-riches stories that are very inspiring and motivating.

These stories prove that anybody can achieve anything, no matter how many obstacles they have to overcome.
Today, they might look like they are living fabulous lives, but it wasn’t always that way. Some of them had to battle through unimaginable problems to reach their dreams. The glaring example of this is the life journey of IAS K Jayaganesh.

The brilliant mind once worked as a waiter in a hotel because his parents could not afford his UPSC preparation. He also worked as a billing clerk in a movie theatre. However, these jobs were hardly enough to provide for his family.

A mechanical engineer, Jayaganesh always wanted to become an IAS officer. He worked during the day and studied the whole night. Despite every effort, he faced serious setbacks as he could not crack the exam despite six attempts.

However, he was qualified for the Intelligence Bureau (IB). While his parents were happy that he had finally landed a reputed job and all the problems of their family would vanish, he was shattered as he could not fulfill his dream.

After a lot of thinking, he finally decided to appear for the CSE for the seventh time. Finally, his hard work and consistency paid off and he secured an impressive AIR-156 in UPSC CSE 2008. IAS Jayaganesh sets an example for millions with his focus and hard work.
