Embarking on a career change is not a sign of confusion but a courageous step towards realising one's dreams. For Anupama Anjali, an IAS officer from the 2018 batch, this journey exemplifies resilience and determination, offering a beacon of inspiration for Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam aspirants.

According to a DNA report, Anupama Anjali began preparing for the UPSC exam after earning her engineering degree.

Hailing from Delhi, she completed her schooling and graduation from the national capital. Notably, her father is an IPS officer who worked for the government for 37 years. Her grandfather was also a civil servant.

During her UPSC preparations, Anupama's father was her motivation. However, she had failed in the first attempt. Despite facing initial setbacks, she remained undeterred and continued her preparations without getting heartbroken.

She persisted and cracked it in her second attempt in 2017, with a rank of 386 to become an IAS officer.

Post-training at LBSNAA, Anupama was allocated the Andhra Pradesh Cadre. Her first deployment was as the Joint Collector of Guntur.

Later, Anupama married Harshit Kumar, an IAS officer from the 2020 batch in 2023 leading to her transfer to the Haryana cadre. She is currently posted as the ADC in Bhiwani.
