Amid demand by a section of students to postpone the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) undergraduate examination, several social media platforms are abuzz with a fake notice claiming postponement of the NEET UG exam to September 2022.

The notice claims the National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the medical entrance examination which is scheduled to be held on July 17, and it will now be conducted on September 4. However, the government fact check agency has busted the news claiming the notice as fake.

“A notice is doing rounds on social media claiming that the National Testing Agency (NTA) has rescheduled the NEET (UG) for 4th September 2022 instead of 17th July 2022. This notice is #Fake. NTA has not issued any such notice,” PTI Fact Check tweeted.

On the other hand, NEET aspirants continue to demand postponement of the exam. While some students are asking for more time to prepare for the top test, several students have used the hashtag #JUSTICEforNEETUG on Twitter to press for their demand.

A Twitter user wrote, “With NEET date approaching students are facing a huge pressure. Anxiety has become very common due toh this excessive stress because of which many are unable to study. Just give us 40days and that's all we need.”

“I literally don't know why govt is ignoring #neet students like this?? They are even not responding well! Students are stressed! We just neet 30-40 days extra for better preparation and nothing else! Counseling delay wasn't our fault!,” wrote another Twitterati.

"So much stress in the last days of exams. I'm losing my hope. No one wants to hear, no one wants to help us,no one wants to understand us. we aspirants are in great trouble please postpone NEETUG please," urged a student.

Last year, the NTA had conducted the NEET exam on September 12, giving ample time to students to prepare themselves for the prestigious exam.
