Cracking the UPSC exam, renowned for its formidable challenges, is a remarkable feat, and Deepesh Kumari's journey adds an emotional chapter to this narrative. Hailing from Bharatpur, Rajasthan, Deepesh, the daughter of a street vendor, defied the odds to secure the impressive All India Rank (AIR) 93.

According to a DNA report, Deepesh's father, Govind, has been selling snacks from a handcart for over two decades. With a family of seven in a small house, the Kumari family's struggles only amplify the significance of Deepesh's achievement.

Her educational journey commenced in Bharatpur and culminated in a BE in Civil Engineering from MBM Engineering College in Jodhpur, followed by an M.Tech from IIT Bombay, where she studied under a fellowship.

In 2019, Deepesh embarked on her UPSC preparation journey by enrolling in a coaching institution in Delhi. However, the COVID-19 lockdown redirected her efforts back home, intensifying her preparations. Despite an initial setback, she persevered, making it to the interview round on her second attempt, securing the commendable 93rd position overall with mathematics as her optional subject.

After the results, Kumari's family's joy is immeasurable, particularly for Govind, whose years of selling chaats and pakodas found validation in his daughter's success.

Deepesh attributes her triumph to the unwavering support of her family, singling out her mother, Usha, whose comfort and encouragement served as pillars of strength throughout the challenging journey.

Her story exemplifies the belief that, even in the face of failure, relentless hard work can be a source of enduring happiness. Deepesh Kumari stands not just as an achiever in UPSC but as an inspiration to many aspirants who are navigating formidable paths to reach their goals.
